Project Summary

The muncipiality solicited bids for the cleaning and remote visual inspection of specified sections of its' sanitary and sewer system. The project required the mobilization of crews and equipment to perform work in various locations throughout the city. There was a 90 day time frame for completion as well as public notification procedures, and restricted hours of work.

Scope of Work

The client needed a contractor having capabilities exceeding typical cleaning and inspection requirements. The client’s need for the following scope of work:

• 61,000 LF - Cleaning (Hydro-Jetting) & Remote Visual Inspection (CCTV) of 8”, 10”, and 12” Diameter PVC Sanitary and Sewer Lines
• Visual Inspection of 230+ Sanitary Manholes (including digital imaging)
• Smoke Testing of all Inspected Lines (with door to door public notification)
• Identification & Removal of Pipe Obstructions (roots, debris, etc.)
• Clean Multiple Areas of Heavy Sand Infiltration
• PACP Certified On-site Technicians
• Specified Geographics Information System (GIS) Software (data review)

Result

Jamko completed the project in 36 days, approximately one-third of the allotted time frame, providing digital imaging files and records which the client was able to view using the Geographic Information System (GIS). Jamko’s experienced technicians provided the client with efficient and technically sound field services with minimal inconvenience and disruption to local residents.
